Each of the guided meditations offered below are created using the Kriya Yoga method, which involves tasking the mind and body with numerous simultaneous instructions to cut through mind chatter, boredom and restlessness as it relates to sitting meditation.
Physically, our lungs and the breath are tasked with cleansing 70% of toxins from our body and our skin 20%. Waste elimination through urination and defecation relieve the body of only 10% of its waste. This is why proper breathing and harnessing of the breath is critical to those of us who seek rapid spiritual advancement and good physical health.
The average person breathes 18 breaths per minute, which in 24 hours is equivalent to about 25,920 breaths. Spiritually, this number corresponds to the 25,920 years of the procession of the equinox (the Sun passing through the entire zodiac). This mindless breathing serves to tether us onto the Wheel of Cause and Effect – what’s otherwise known as our natal chart, the characteristics that make up who we are as a human, our actions, our fate and our destiny.
